一年零八個月之後, 發現自己還是喜歡寫作……

貴人

常言道，收拾房間最花時間是回味過往的日子，回憶過去的點滴。甚麼紀念冊、校刊、日記、紙仔......重看一百遍之後還是有翻看的樂趣。 今天發現了一本旅程日記。 一本公主當年參加香港愛丁堡公爵獎勵計劃銀章的旅程日記，一本記錄了所有三日兩夜、兩日一夜，流落山野的求生日記。 老實說，公主到現在還是想不通，是那裡來的力量，令軟弱的身軀(和心靈)由這山走到那山，背負著2X公斤的工具/食物上山下海，結霜之時於大帽山上露營，並以極速由山頂跑到山腳(因為拉肚子要山腳才有公厠)，即使滿腳水泡還是繼續前進，完成整個活動。 細想之下，當年令公主參加這個活動的原因，只因"陪朋友玩吓"。

中學時期，最開心的日子是演話劇的時候。 很喜歡身處台上，被舞台強光照耀的感覺。 還有出唱片，被邀簽名合照留念，與台前幕後一起捱更抵夜，從而建立了一些十年後還有聚會的友誼，夫復何求?  話說當日決定去參加面試的，不是我自己，而是我的同學，皆因學校規定要二人一組進行面試，原本只是"登腳"的我，卻被選中了。

之後的高爾夫球、滑浪風帆、帆船、甚至船牌，那一樣不是"陪朋友"? 

興趣，是有的，但一定大不到會自行報名參加。 雖說參加每樣活動後也是全心全力的付出，若然沒有這些"朋友"的推波助瀾，我的一生將會是白過的。

原來，貴人並非那些權貴之士，在工作上助你富貴榮華的人。 對於我，貴人是那些，把你的能力和潛能發揮出來，顯現在大家面前的人。

能夠在茫茫人海之中遇上你、你、你和你，真是我一生中的……福氣。

Frank Gehry

It was the first (and perhaps the only) time that I was asked "Is your necklace......a Frank Gehry design?  It is nice."

While everyone sees the three interlocking squares as "no more than a silver necklace", this intelligent gentlemen was able to recognize the beauty behind.  I was stunned. 

I bought this necklace during my last SF visit in Nov 2006.  Well, it was in fact, a gift from my sister because she paid me back after she knew that I got it from Palo Alto.  Guess she did not know that it was SHE who led to my purchase......

One night, when I was using her Viao in the dining room, I found out that someone was browsing the website - Tiffany & Co., which killed my next 30mins.  While I was creating my LONG wish list in it (for fun), I saw the simple squares.  The next day, we went to Palo Alto, what a coincident, I saw a Tiffany Shop, I saw THE necklace, I saw it being put into a little turquoise box tied with inproportionally thick white ribbon and then it was handed to me, I saw, from the reflection of the oval shape mirror, a happy face.

Honestly, I always prefer the thing itself more than its brand.  I was glad when I heard people call it a Frank Gehry necklace, but not, a Tiffany.

I later remembered that the intelligent gentlemen studies architecture.  No wonder......

Master and Engineer Exams

Work, Past Paper, Home.

The same pattern.  No riding. No golfing.  No harping.  No friends.  No dinner.  No life.  For a month.  More than a month.  Exhausted.  Again, engineering and girls are, enermy (emphasize added).

Finally, this is the day, 4 Jan 2007.

People said, it is CHI SIN to take both exams on the same day.

People said, it is difficult to pass the exams.

People said, what?  YOU?!

Yes, ME!

I used to think that the exams are easy because illiterate fishermen can pass it.  I found it wrong after taking the first lesson, with shivering legs walking out of the classroom, question marks on my forehead, speechless.  I did not even know what questions I have?  Zero understanding on the subject.  Since then, I realized that the only thing I can do, is to practise as many past papers as possible.  I told myself, this is a choice I made, be it a 3 mins or 3 days decision, be it leisure or not, I cannot give up.

Make impossible possible.  I always believe in myself.  I do not mind squeezing my last bit of energy to make things the best, but I DO mind if these things are not the best, if not, above average.

Yes, this is me.

Today.  Morning Master Exam.  Expecting a full mark, honestly.  Afternoon Engineer Exam.  Got a few careless mistakes, but likely good enough to get a pass.

Behind the confident smile, there is a lot more......

Waiting for the results which will be sent out at the end of this month.

再次嗅到這種氣味--冬天

研究指出, 嗅覺能令人記起往日在同樣氣氛和氣味之下所發生的事......

我記起......

從房間拿著重甸甸的棉胎, 緊緊的把自己包裹在內, 然後跳進沙發, 看電視.
